As the crucial second leg of the Youth Cup semi-final approaches we get a snapshot of the likely opponents who will look to ruin Villa dreams:
Rhys Taylor - A welsh u-21 cap at the age of 17, now in the reserves but obviously put in the youth team for this competition. Was on the bench for a game or two this season when we had one of our 'keeper crises.
Nana Ofori - Twumasi-Born in Accra, Ghana like Chelsea legend Marcel Desailly, Nana is the youth team captain and member of the England under-18's. Former junior athletics champion!
Jeffrey Bruma - A really promising Dutch centre-back from what I've heard, I think we poached him from Feyenoord. Defintiely one for the future.
Patrick van Aanholt - Compatriot of Bruma, another solid defender who has a great long shot on him apparently.
Michael Woods - Snaffled up from Leeds, 18 in April and he's already made his debut for the first-team. Fourth youngest player in our history after two sub appearances against Macclesfield and Forest in the FA Cup.
Gael Kakuta - You've heard how good he is, attacking midfielder signed from Lens and apparently an absolute steal considering his potential. A match-winner I reckon.
Sergio Tejera - Another lively attacking midfielder, the Spaniard is good on set-pieces and is labelled a "classic number 10". I think we signed him when he was only 15 from Espanyol and he's played for Spain in the under-17's World Cup.
Frank Nouble - Ivorian born winger/striker, standing at 6ft4 even though he's only 16! Good at athletics too, and tipped for success in that field as well as football!
Jacob Mellis - In England's under-17 squad, poached from Sheffield United. Promising attacking midfielder.
Morten Nielsen - Danish centre-forward signed from FC Copenhagen, played for Danish under-18's and attempting to follow in his father Benny's footsteps and playe for the full squad.
Adam Phillip - Good at late goals as Villa well know! Signed after being scouted playing for Sutton (Sunday park football team) and now an under-17 England international.
Miroslav Stoch - Slovakian winger/striker, two-footed and likes a trick or two.
