Agbonlahor, who netted 16 times last season, has been dogged by various injury setbacks during the current campaign including calf, back and groin problems but the England player has started Villa's last two games against Manchester United and Blackburn and wants to make up for lost time.
"It's been frustrating because I've never been out for this sort of spell before," said Agbonlahor.
"It has been the most annoying spell of my career so far. I've never been one to have many injuries. Maybe I was due a spell like this.
"But I've got three games (including one as substitute) out of the way now and I'm feeling fit as I've done all season. I'm raring to go."
New Villa boss Gerard Houllier rewarded Agbonlahor with a new four-and-a-half year contract despite his recent injury problems.
Agbonlahor said: "Luckily for me, the manager knows what I've done over the last four seasons and how I've progressed.
"He knows what I am capable of.
"For strikers, it's all about goals but, to be fair, I do enjoy providing assists as well. I like helping to create chances as well."
