"But I am still under contract so it is more complex.
"I have no concrete contact yet. In my interest and in Aston Villa's, it is better for me to leave.
"The club is not against a departure, they can understand I need to play. But they don't want to hear about a loan so far.
"As the club doesn't count on me, I can't see me staying.
"It is clear, I want to leave Aston Villa and bounce back in a club that will trust me.
"Here the officials and the coach believed my style didn't match the team's one."
However, Berson's agent, Olivier Journneaux, has dismissed these reports claiming that the French magazine often publishes stories to sensationalise.
"But! is a sort of French tabloid which often features stories like this. They try to publish sensationalised stories to sell more," he told the clubs official website.
"The situation has not changed. Even if the probability of not making part of the first eleven is high, Mathieu will fight to play.
"If he had a concrete offer from a serious club which would be able to seduce Villa, Mathieu would like to go. As it is absolutely not the case, this wish does not exist."
