Aitken given the all-clear

Doctors discovered the tumour in the former Scotland international's colon during a routine health check and was operated on almost immediately. He has now been given the all-clear following a post-op biopsy and told Villa's official site: "Thankfully everything's ok now. This just goes to show the value of these checks. We caught this at the right time."
