MATCH PREVIEW
Notwithstanding Blackpool's famous homage to the Eiffel Tower, the French are not taking the fancy of the town's football club.
If I see something, I normally say it, but that's gone now - I never hold any grudges and I can't wait to see Mr Houllier and his team here
Blackpool manager Ian Holloway
Last week, Louis Saha unravelled Blackpool's defence with a four-goal haul. Seven days on, Gerard Houllier arrives at Bloomfield Road as the villain of the piece.
Verbal volleys were exchanged last month between Villa manager Houllier and his Blackpool counterpart Ian Holloway, who was upset that the Frenchman had made public his interest in signing Charlie Adam and described Villa's ?3.5m bid as "disgraceful".
Houllier, in turn, accused Holloway of double standards by singling him out for criticism despite the fact other clubs had bid for Adam through the same channels. However, both managers have been at pains to diffuse their row in the build up to this game.
Villa were the opponents when Holloway made 10 changes to his side in November, which resulted in a 3-2 defeat and a fine for fielding a weakened line-up.
Blackpool are fighting that decision
with as much vigour as they are relegation - they and Villa are potentially only a defeat away from dropping into the bottom three.
