Both Steve Sidwell and Carlo Cudicini appear to be on the hitlist as Martin O'Neill looks to do what he failed to manage in January - strengthen.
The Claret and Blue have enjoyed a fantastic season even though they have very little quality cover on the bench.
Sidwell has been out of favour at Stamford Bridge after his move from Reading last summer, whilst Cudicini continues to provide able back-up for Peter Cech.

Cudicini has proved himself at the highest level and has not once complained about sitting on the Blues bench.

Sidwell must not be a replacement for the skipper; instead he must be an able deputy.
