Chris Sutton has quit as manager of Lincoln City.
The former Chelsea and Blackburn striker resigned along with his assistant Ian Pearce after last night's goalless draw with Burton Albion left them four places off the bottom of League Two.
A Lincoln statement read: 'The board of directors can confirm that Chris Sutton and Ian Pearce have left the club for personal reasons.
'A press conference will take place at Sincil Bank Stadium this evening. No Club representatives will be available for further comment until then.'
Sutton, who also played for Celtic, Aston Villa and Norwich during his career, spent a year in charge of The Imps after taking over from Peter Jackson at Sincil Bank.
