Decision pending on trialist Agathe

Agathe, who also had a trial with Blackburn earlier in the summer, played under O'Neill at Celtic and would provide a cheap option for the new Villa boss keen to strengthen his squad over the next 48 hours. The 31-year-old French wing-back started for Villa reserves against Reading on Wednesday as the side lost 2-1 following Sam Williams' first-half dismissal. With Martin Laursen, Gardner and Lee Hendrie among his team-mates Agathe had a fairly quiet game but showed glimpses of his class and O'Neill may opt to see more.
