Dublin To Be Offered New Deal

The Villa boss is keen to tie Dublin to a new deal before his present contract at the club expires at the end of the season although contract talks have not taken place yet.

"Dion wants to make sure the club is in the Premiership and then sort his contract situation out," said O'Leary.

"He doesn't want to leave and I am sure he would have plenty of offers from First Division clubs in the summer if they had any sense.

"But he wants to stay here first and foremost and I want him to stay here. He doesn't want this kind of talk at present. He wants to help the club to do the business on the pitch.

"I want him to stay beyond this season, but I don't think Dion wants me to get into discussions about that yet."
