Dunne prepared for tough competition

Fit-again Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne will have "no complaints" if forced to delay his comeback from injury because of the form of James Collins and Carlos Cuellar. Dunne is available for the Barclays Premier League clash at Tottenham after missing the previous two games with a knee problem. But Collins and Cuellar formed a solid partnership in last Sunday's 2-1 win at Wolves. Dunne said: "I wouldn't have any complaints if I was on the bench on Saturday. If they had been beaten 5-0 then I might be disappointed, but they were brilliant. "That's the way football is and that is what having the squad is all about. Players come in and take their chance and it's up to everyone to work hard to try and get back in. "Carlos is brilliant. I played a lot of games with him at centre-back last season and we had a good understanding. Wherever he plays, particularly at centre-half, he is one of the better players on the pitch." Dunne was substituted during the home game with Bolton but admitted: "I've had a sore knee from the start of the season. It has never really cleared up. I had a scan last week and it just needed a bit of rest. I had eight or nine days physio, joined in training on Tuesday and feel good."
