Leicester City are close to wrapping up loan deals for defenders Curtis Davies and Patrick van Aanholt, BBC Radio Leicester understands.Aston Villa centre-half Davies, 25, had been on loan with City but returned in January amid talk of a permanent move to another Premier League side.
Chelsea left-back van Aanholt, 20, was on loan with Newcastle last season and has been targeted by Swansea City.
The Foxes hope to secure deals until the end of the season by Wednesday.
Davies made just two appearances for Villa earlier this term - one in the League Cup and one in the Europa League.
He
moved to the Walkers Stadium in October,
playing 12 games up until Boxing Day as the club climbed away from the Championship relegation zone.
Pacy Dutch full-back
Van Aanholt played seven games for Newcastle in their Championship-winning team of 2009/10
and has made six appearances for the Blues this season.
He has not appeared in the Premier League, but
started the thumping 7-0 FA Cup victory over Ipswich earlier this month.
