Friedel for Villa

Villa are set to swoop for Blackburn keeper Brad Friedel.
The American goalkeeper is one of the top stoppers in the Premier League and would be ideal to fill Villa's problem position.
Stuart Taylor is the only senior keeper remaining at Villa Park and a new number one is high on the summer agenda.
The Claret and Blue have been constantly linked with the "new" Brad Friedel - Brad Guzan - but they may choose to go for the real thing.
Friedel has won Blackburn games on his own at times and with the recent departure of manager Mark Hughes, he could be tempted by a move.
However, he is settled in the North-West and may not fancy a new challenge in the Midlands.
Friedel would undoubtedly be welcomed at Villa Park as he's a proven point winner but Blackburn won't want to let go of another prize asset.
