Gabby Agbonlahor has told the Birmingham Mail that suffering two consecutive home defeats is: "Frustrating and disappointing."
Villa have recently lost to Arsenal and Portsmouth at Villa Park after they won three in a row on their travels. The striker hopes that good away form can help the Claret and Blue avoid a slump. He said:
"Expectations are high among the fans and we just have to put it right this weekend and I'm confident we can do that.
"We have to pick our heads up and go up to Sunderland and get a win to get us back on track."
Villa notoriously fear December as they often face top teams, usually with a small squad. But personally Agbonlahor is feeling confident:
"My confidence is high.
"It's been a good season for me and if we keep creating chances then I know I will put my fair share away."
With their star striker playing with vigour, Villa fans are right to be hopeful that the last two games were just a short blip and that the team can return to winning ways immediately.
