Gary Gardner followed in the footsteps of older brother Craig by grabbing a senior contract at Villa Park.
Gary, 17, has put in a string of impressive performances for the Claret and Blue under-18's and his form has earned plenty of admirers.
It had been rumoured that Manchester United were interested in the player but, by signing his first professional contract, Gardner has quashed all doubts surrounding his future.
Craig, who is five years older than his sibling, also came through the academy system at the club and has set a high standard for Gary to follow.
The former England under-21 international earned a number of caps for Stuart Pearce's young lions and he is now firmly focussed on establishing himself in the first team picture.
Gary has also played for England at youth level and after signing his pro deal he will now be aiming to gain a foothold in the supremely successful Villa reserve side.
