Former Villa boss John Gregory is back in management.
The tough talking gaffer, who took the Claret and Blue to the FA Cup final at Wembley in 2000, has joined Israeli side Maccabi Ahi Nazareth on a short-term deal.
Gregory has been asked to save the club from relegation but he faces an unenviable task as the minnows currently sit bottom of the table.
His first game in charge will be against Beitar Jerusalem next weekend and Ahi Nazareth will be massive outsiders to even get a point from that tricky clash.
For his troubles, Gregory will earn a modest £33,500 with the promise of more cash if he can save the club from the drop.
Even if he does complete what looks like Mission Impossible, the former Villan will only pocket £67,000, which is ten times less than he was earning when managing in the Premiership.
The ex-QPR supremo will be assisted by former Villa and Israel full-back Najwan Ghrayib.
He may have had to deal with Deadly Doug and a handful of want away players but Gregory’s former job in the Midlands probably seems like a walk in the park now.
