Speculation that Henrik Larsson will join Villa has today has reached fever pitch. The Swede has been strongly linked with a move, which would see him once again under the management of Martin O'Neill. O'Neill was Larsson's boss at Celtic and together the pair enjoyed some fantastic trophy laden seasons together.
It has been rumoured that Larsson will join on loan for the rest of the season from Helsingborgs, the club where he said he wanted to see out his career. However, he temporarily joined Manchester United last season and scored a goal that helped knock the Villans out of the F.A. Cup at the third round stage. It is clear that Larsson believes he has yet more to offer in top flight football.
There is no doubting the pedigree of the Swedish striker and O'Neill is obviously hoping that this short term signing will help the Claret and Blue push for Europe.
