Members of the Villa squad are due to visit Houllier in hospital today before he is discharged within the next 24 hours after his heart problems.
Villa have been on the receiving end of speculation regarding alleged unhappy players and bust-ups. But McAllister feels Houllier's current dilemma has ensured such things being put into perspective.
Stand-in boss McAllister said: "We have definitely felt that. That's a fact.
"There are some good people here and, putting aside all the little footballing traumas we've had and the supposed fracas, the players are concerned.
"It is someone they work with every day and it is only natural. There has been a pulling together. I've felt that."
