Villa have won just one in twelve games since the pair were injured in the League Cup defeat by Chelsea on 8 November but Moore could force himself into the reckoning ahead of schedule after shoulder surgery. "My shoulder feels good and I'm ahead of schedule," said the youngster. "Hopefully I'll be back at some time this month. I'm doing running and a lot of hard work in the gym to get things right. I'm getting there."
Laursen, meanwhile, is targeting a fixture for the Villa reserves next Wednesday following his knee problem. "He is outside doing a bit," Martin O'Neill said. "Next week we are hoping for that reserve game which is encouraging."
