Juventus still pushing to offload Aaron Ramsey to Premier League

Juventus are continuing to try and offload midfielder Aaron Ramsey to the Premier League before Monday's transfer deadline, but the Welshman is reluctant to accept a move.

A high-earner following his free transfer from Arsenal in 2019, Ramsey has not featured for Juventus since October and has repeatedly been told that he is free to leave the club this month.

Sources have confirmed to 90min that Juventus have again been attempting to drum up interest in Ramsey this week, with the Premier League seen as the likeliest destination because of the number of sides willing to come somewhere close to matching his wages.

Burnley, Leeds, Crystal Palace and Newcastle have all been contacted and none have ruled out a move for Ramsey just yet. Everton could also be an option following their interview with managerial candidate Frank Lampard, who has been offered the job.

However, there is a growing frustration at Juventus towards Ramsey's reluctance to accept a move. The feeling is that he would have already left if he truly wanted to, but they continue to try and secure an exit for the Welshman nevertheless.

There could be a real rejig of Juventus' midfield before the window closes. Talks have been opened with Borussia Monchengladbach over a €7m deal for Denis Zakaria, who has been Juve's preferred recruit in case they lose a midfielder this month.

Should they land Zakaria, Juventus would be more willing to discuss Arthur's proposed loan to Arsenal or Rodrigo Bentancur's possible switch to Tottenham and Aston Villa, having blocked both moves because of their struggles in finding a replacement.
