The amazing support of the Villa faithful has once again been in evidence today (Tuesday) as all tickets for the Carling Cup semi-final first leg at Blackburn have sold out.
After selling nearly 2000 tickets to supporters who have trips to Sunderland and other away games under their belts, the Claret and Blue sold the rest of the 5000 allocation within hours of it being released to season ticket holders.
What makes the swift sale so remarkable, is the fact that the game takes place just after the New Year, when people are reeling financially after an expensive Christmas period.
Also, let us not forget that the game will be televised live on Sky Sports, meaning fans can actually see the game without making the long trip up north.
But, the success starved Claret and Blue support have again shown their intentions and they deserve a seat at the Wembley showpiece come February 28.
