Villa boss Graham Taylor told www.avfc.co.uk: “The surgeon confirmed that the treatment he’s getting from us is exactly right and that the treatment should continue in the way it has ever since Olof first told us of his problem.
“We’ve been resting him between matches, but the surgeon has told us that there’s no reason for him to miss matches if they come close together.
“He’s assured Olof that if he does play a number of matches in quick succession, there’s no danger of inducing more serious damage to his Achilles.
“His training has been adapted to suit his requirements and the reassurance that Olly has had from one of the top surgeons in this field has been extremely beneficial.”
