No England call-up for Barry

Barry was being widely tipped for a full England call-up after some impressive displays for Villa in the past few months, something that manager Graham Taylor is hoping won't be affected by his exclusion.

“He’s been playing consistently well for us this season and there has been a lot of support for him to be recalled to the senior squad," said Taylor.

“That hasn’t happened this time, but the only way he is going to get that call is to keep producing the goods for Aston Villa.
