He told the club's official website: "Not surprisingly, we've been linked with all sorts of players. That's only natural.
"But I'm not going to add to the speculation by commenting on who we're supposed to be interested in.
"I won't make promises to the supporters about who we're trying to sign, because I believe in doing all the work in private and then delivering the player when it's all done and dusted."
