One rule for Rafa

Unprofessional, unsettling and just plain unfair are just three good ways to describe the behaviour of Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez.
The Spaniard may be a favourite at Anfield, but he is now very much disliked at
Villa Park.
Benitez has come out with some contemptuous claims about Gareth Barry recently which are clearly designed to shake the Villa skipper.
Barry would of course be tempted by offers from the top four of the Premiership, but there is simply no need for Benitez to air his opinions.
The
Liverpool boss has stated that if you're captain wants to leave then it's a problem, but it's football.
However, that begs the question of whether he would be so forthcoming had he received an offer for Steven Gerrard.
Probably not, meaning the Matador should keep his opinions to himself.
Benitez could have remained silent and let his money men do the talking but instead he has thrown his own thoughts into ring.
Liverpool fans would most likely say their boss has behaved in a bullish but fair manner.
This is clearly not the case and you would have to hope Barry has the sense to stay at a club where he is much admired.
Obviously the super skipper wants glory and extra cash so it must be proved that this can be achieved at Villa.
The Claret and Blue are moving forward at a rapid rate, but is it fast enough for Barry?
One thing is for sure - Benitez has certainly jumped the gun.
