The Dutch goalkeeper, who has made just twelve Premiership appearances since joining from De Graafschap in May 2002, has made just one start this season, excelling in the side’s 3-1 defeat by Arsenal three weeks ago. But despite keeping the marauding champions at bay for large parts of the match with a string of excellent saves, the portly 28-year-old was immediately relegated to the substitutes bench when Thomas Sørenson recovered from injury.

Postma was a key member of the side that collected the Premier reserve league (north) title last season.
