Precautionary scan for Delaney

Delaney was substituted with six minutes of the game at Villa Park remaining after a challenge with Blackburn youngster James McEveley.

“Mark will go for a scan tomorrow. It’s purely precautionary, said Villa boss Graham Taylor after the game .

We think this is just a knock and nothing more. But it’s better to be safe than sorry.”
