"Everyone knows my contract is up. We've not really talked about what is going to happen but I did okay at Anfield and I hope that goes towards the club saying one way or the other whether I'll be staying or not," he said.
"It would be nice to know what is going to happen. It would put my career on hold if I were to wait until the end of the season. I would be in limbo.
"It would be better to know now than them tell me in the summer."
