Aston Villa are leading the chase to sign England International Bobby Zamora in January.
Fulham forward Zamora has struggled to get on with manager Martin Jol and was left out of the squad for the defeat at Swansea on Saturday.
Jol still insists that Zamora is a part of his plans but the 30-year-old is desperate to secure a place in England's squad for the 2012 Euros.
Sunderland, Queens Park Rangers and Tottenham have also been linked but according to Newspaper reports Villa could be favourites.
Alex McLeish is keen on signing the former West Ham striker and may be ready to offer ?5million to secure his services once the transfer window opens in January.
