Wright with Boro now!

The 31-year-old left-back, who was released by Villa at the end of last season, has joined Boro for a pre-season training having pulled out of the Gers' tour of Germany last week.

"We've invited Alan to join us for a week's training with us in Spain," Boro boss Steve McClaren told the Boro official website.

"It's a good opportunity for Alan to look at us and for us to have a look at Alan."
