The Aston Villa player had been on the periphery of the team until he impressed when he scored his first goal for his country as a substitute against Denmark last month.
Young was in the starting 11 for the Euro 2012 qualifier with Wales and then the Ghana clash and finally looks at home in an England jersey.
Young said: "There has been change in the England team. Look at the players who went to the World Cup and the players who are in the squad and the team now not just against Ghana but also against Wales.
"Things have changed. The manager said he was going to bring change to the squad and I think he has done that.
"A few new boys (Andy Carroll, Matt Jarvis, Gary Cahill) had a run out and it was nice to see that."
