Former Villa defender Steve Staunton has raided hs old club to take young star Jonathan Hogg to Darlington.
Hogg, who was a key part of the successful Villa reserve side last season, will move to the Darlington Arena on a contract that will end on 2nd January.
Staunton is looking to reinvigorate his side, who currently sit bottom of the Football League, and he is looking to youth in order to achieve his aims.
Hogg will add a touch of class to the Quakers starting line-up, having shone for the Claret and Blue second string throughout the 2008/09 campaign before suffering a serious knee injury.
He has now fully recovered after treatment in the USA and will be aiming to prove that he is good enough to eventually grace the Villa first team.
