Standard Liege wonderkid Steven Defour has admitted that he would be open to an offer from Villa during the summer.
The 20 year old, who helped his side eliminate Everton from the UEFA Cup at the first round stage, is likely to attract a lot of interest from across Europe when the transfer window reopens at the end of the current season.
Belgian sensation Defour has won 16 caps for his country and he now appears keen to follow in the footsteps of former Standard teammate Marouane Fellaini with a move to the Premiership.
With Gareth Barry and Stiliyan Petrov currently positioned at the heart of the Claret and Blue midfield, Defour would face a challenge to secure a first team spot at Villa Park.
But, with Barry saying that he will reconsider his options should his side fail to qualify for the Champions League, plenty of players will be linked with Villa from now until the end of the season.
A move for Defour certainly seems viable, especially considering how impressive Fellaini has been at Goodison Park, so don't be surprised to see the Standard midfielder winging his way to the Midlands in the near future.
