USA starlet Michael Bradley could complete a trio of Americans at Villa Park with Martin O'Neill reported to be impressed with his performances in the Confederations Cup.
Midfield maestro Bradley was one of the best players on the pitch as the U.S.A defeated Egypt 3-0 to progress to the semi-final stage of the competition in South Africa.
And the 21 year-old will be eager to move whilst he is in the spotlight as his current club - German side Borussia Monchengladbach - are expected to face another relegation battle next season.
Bradley is clearly capable of playing at a higher level and with his international teammate Brad Guzan already at Villa, he could be tempted into a Midlands move.
Brad Friedel is another good reason why the youngster may favour a switch to the Claret and Blue ahead of another Premier League side.
