Scottish right-back Alan Hutton is the latest Spurs player to be linked with a move to Villa
In recent weeks, speculation has been rife that manager Martin O'Neill is set complete a triple raid on the North London club.
Midfielders Tom Huddlestone, David Bentley and Jermaine Jenas are all reported to be Claret and Blue targets and now Hutton's name has also been thrown into the hat.
The former Rangers defender is well known to O'Neill from his time as Celtic manager and he could be available for a fee of around £5m.
The 24 year old cost Spurs £9m just last summer but it now seems that Harry Redknapp is willing to recoup as much as he can for the player even if it means making a loss.
Incidentally, it was Juande Ramos not Redknapp who signed Hutton and the Scot has obviously failed to impress his new boss.
O'Neill clearly sees Hutton as great competition for current right-back Luke Young and should the Spurs man sign on at Villa Park he will inevitably face a big battle for a first team place.
