Villa have snapped up veteran goalkeeper Andy Marshall on a one-year contract.
The stopper, who has played for Ipswich and Milwall, was released by Coventry City this summer and he will replace Stuart Taylor as Villa's No.3.
Taylor left for Man City in June after becoming frustrated at the lack of first team football in the Midlands but Marshall will be more than happy to be a bench warmer at a top six Premier League club.
The 34 year-old is a former England under-21 international and he certainly has some pedigree meaning he could be a reliable buy for Martin O'Neill.
