The 28-year-old right-back is likely to make his 30th international appearance in the World Cup qualifier against England at Old Trafford on 9 October. He will hope to have more of an impact than he had in the Principality's last game against Northern Ireland last month when he was sacrificed following Robbie Savage's sad demise on 22 minutes.
Delaney will also travel to Cardiff to face Poland four days later in what will be Hughes' last game in charge. The former Manchester United forward has been appointed as manager of Blackburn Rovers.
