Stephen Warnock has been called up to the England squad for the game against Brazil in Doha on Saturday.
Warnock joined Villa from Blackburn at the end of this summer and the move looks to have paid immediate dividends for the left back.
The 27 year-old has one England cap to his name, which came last year when he was brought on for the final six minutes of the Three Lions' game against Trinidad and Tobago.
Warnock joins James Milner and Ashley Young in the squad to travel to the Qatari capital as the Villa wingers also impressed Fabio Capello.
Young's recall is a somewhat surprising considering he has showed little of the fine form which won him the PFA Young Player of the Year award last season.
He may have expected to miss out but one man who would have been hopeful of an appearance was Gabby Agbonlahor. The speedy striker has been in great form of late but it is Darren Bent who will get a chance to impress.
