The Villa reserve side followed in the footsteps of their first team counterparts as they rolled over the Blues at St Andrew's.
Villa maintained their 100% record at the ground this season as Luke Moore and Patrick Berger finished off the second city rivals.
The Claret and Blue second string dominated from start to finish showing just why Villa are top of the Reserve league.
The Villa team included the recently revived Marlon Harewood and Togo star Salifou. It was the clever Togalese international's cross that set-up Luke Moore for the first on 43 minutes.
Moore who will have loved scoring at St Andrews being a Villa boy through and through, took the ball down neatly and slotted past Blues keeper Doyle.
Villa played some sublime football in the second-half and continued to create a set of chances. They finally got their reward as Berger scored a screamer from distance to round off a comfortable victory.
The victory showed the strength of the Reserve side at Villa Park which can only be good news for Martin O'Neill with a heavy December ahead.
